SAKURA

Japan-Engineered Water Rescue Drone

Drone business

SAKURA is a made-in-Japan drone built from the ground up for water rescue.

SAKURA is a Japan-engineered water rescue drone with landing floats, thermal imaging and a four-point release system that individually delivers up to four flotation devices per flight. It offers 60-minute endurance and a smart controller.

Our Drone Technology

Equipped with an Infrared Thermal Camera

A thermal camera supports searches at night and in challenging light. With approximately 60 minutes of flight endurance, wind tolerance up to 10 m/s and a smart controller designed for rapid training, SAKURA addresses practical needs of beach patrols and emergency teams.

Features a Smart Controller

40 min of flight, 10 m/s wind tolerance and a smart controller lifeguards can fly after short training; a land version covers floods.

Float Capable of Landing on Water

Floats let it land on water and deliver flotation right beside a drowning person.

Deployment Device Capable of Carrying 4 Cells

A proprietary 4-cell release drops up to four life rings per flight, one by one, so one sortie can reach several victims.

About

Connecting people and technology to bring peace of mind to everyday life and hope for the future

Founded in Fukushima, Japan, in 2024, manisonias develops drone technology to improve emergency response in coastal and disaster-prone communities.

SAKURA was conceived to help rescue teams locate people in distress and deliver flotation devices quickly, when waves or poor visibility make direct rescue difficult. Field trials with a beach patrol organization in Japan have provided feedback on search and rescue procedures.

The drone combines thermal imaging, water-landing capability and individually controlled flotation-device releases to support multiple rescue attempts during a single flight. Its design also allows adaptation for emergency supply delivery on land.

Alongside SAKURA, manisonias is developing intelligent battery technology focused on flight safety and operational reliability.

The company aims to work with lifesaving organizations, emergency response agencies and distribution partners to bring its rescue technology to coastal communities worldwide.
